Bakke Athletics utilizes the variety of talents, skills, and experience our trainers have to provide unique and specialized classes to our clients. The types of classes evolve, change, and expand over time, so be sure to contact us for the latest offerings. Here are the highest demand and very popular classes we typically offer:
- Women’s Lift – Whether you are a novice weight lifter or a seasoned veteran, this class is designed to teach and empower all women in the gym. If you’re looking to get strong and learn about lifting, our trainers are excited to work with you! This program meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5:30-6:30am for 6 weeks.
- Adult Lift – Gary Gulseth is a champion power lifter turned bodybuilder. In this program, he focuses on the basics of lifting. This group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7am and Saturdays from 9:00-10:00am for 8 weeks.
- Bakke Barbell Club – Whether you’re learning Olympic weightlifting from scratch or refining your skills, there’s no better place do it than under the watchful eye of 2x national champion and USAW Level 1 Coach, Yuki Matsushima. Not only does Yuki know her stuff, but she’s excellent at conveying it to her students. This club meets Tuesdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 10:00 am for one hour lifting sessions and instruction.
- Bakke Powerlifting Club – This club focuses on the main lifts of powerlifting: deadlift, bench, and squat while also working on accessory lifts to improve the big three. Whether just starting in powerlifting or ready to push yourself to the next level, let world champion Gary Gulseth lead you. This club meets twice a week for one hour guided lifting sessions.
