My road to becoming a personal trainer was not the typical one. I spent the first 28 years of my professional career in the Criminal Justice field, but fitness and athletics have always played a big role in my life, having played collegiate basketball, field hockey and rugby. Chronic injuries and my desire to learn how to work through them led me to obtain my personal trainer certification in 2012.
I am fueled by a desire to change people’s lives and enjoy working with individuals of all ages; with a special interest in those who want to obtain or maintain their health and fitness beyond their youth. Training is an opportunity for me to share my enthusiasm and encourage others to live a happier and healthier life.
In 2016, I attained my Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) Certification and established the 1st Rock Steady Boxing Program in Wisconsin. (RSB is a non-contact boxing-based fitness program for people with Parkinson’s Disease.) My involvement with RSB, small group, and one-on-one training with individuals with Parkinson’s Disease is a passion for me. I have also obtained my Parkinson’s Cycling Certification, and created a Bike N’ Box Class for people with PD.
